Joshua Banks is a Denton based artist studying printmaking at the University of North Texas. His work has been shown in: 500x College Expo exhibition, Incense and Peppermints Grand Opening, and several other group shows. Also, several private collectors in Texas own his work. He is the vice president of the Printmaking Association of North Texas Students, and organizes group shows and print sales for the club.
His influences include: Dali, Picasso, Basquiat, cartoons, comics, clip art, storybooks, American life, funk music, and pacifist ideologies.
He uses printmaking as a primary medium to share his ideas with as many people as possible. He makes relief prints because of its expressive feeling of carving away the linoleum to reproduce the original design.
Super post. Some great points you mention in there.
